Reducing Tee SiGMA-Li TR5040 polypropylene (PP) 50×40×50 mm
SiGMA-Li TR5040 polypropylene (PP) reducing tee 50×40×50 mm is a three-way pipe fitting designed to join two 50 mm runs with a reduced 40 mm branch. Made from polypropylene, this reducing tee is intended for plumbing and fluid distribution systems where a durable, lightweight and chemically resistant junction is required. The component is suitable for installation in potable and non-potable pipelines, heating circuits and general building services carrying water and non-aggressive media.
The polypropylene construction offers good resistance to many chemicals, low weight for easier handling, and dimensional stability over a wide temperature range. The reducing tee provides a smooth transition between different pipe diameters to maintain flow characteristics and reduce turbulence. Its standardized socket dimensions ensure compatibility with common PP piping systems and enable straightforward solvent welding or thermal joining depending on the installation practice.
Select compatible PP pipes with matching outer diameters and prepare pipe ends according to the chosen joining method. For solvent welding, clean and apply an appropriate PP solvent primer and cement to the socket and pipe, then insert the pipe fully and hold until the joint sets. For thermal fusion, follow the fusion equipment manufacturer's procedure to achieve a proper melt and joint. Ensure correct alignment of the 40 mm branch with the intended run and allow adequate curing or cooling time before pressurizing the system. Verify the system is within recommended temperature and pressure limits for polypropylene components.
Use this reducing tee only with media and temperatures compatible with polypropylene. Avoid exposure to strong oxidizing agents and solvents that degrade PP. Follow applicable plumbing codes and manufacturer guidelines for jointing techniques, pressure testing, and support spacing. Inspect joints after installation and before putting the system into regular service.
