SilverStone AR09-115XS is a compact 60 mm processor cooler designed for low-profile systems such as 2U rackmount servers and small form factor cases. It uses three Ø6 mm copper heat pipes with heat-pipe direct contact (HDC) technology and an aluminum fin array combined with an included air duct to deliver efficient heat transfer and dissipation while remaining compatible with Intel LGA1150/1151/1155/1156 sockets.

Advantages

The cooler combines three 6 mm heat pipes and HDC base contact to increase thermal conductivity from the CPU to the heatsink. A 60 mm dual ball-bearing PWM fan provides fan-speed control from 1200 to 5000 RPM (6.7–27.9 CFM, 18.02–42.5 dBA) for a balance between airflow and noise. The wave-shaped aluminum fins and included air duct improve directed airflow and heat removal in constrained enclosures. A spring-screw bracket with backplate is included for secure mounting on supported Intel sockets.

How to use

Install the cooler into a compatible Intel LGA115x socket using the included spring screw bracket and backplate following the motherboard and chassis clearance requirements. Apply a thin, even layer of thermal paste to the CPU heatspreader before seating the cooler. Attach the air duct so it aligns with the heatsink and case airflow path, then connect the 4‑pin PWM fan cable to the CPU fan header to enable automatic speed control.

Usage recommendations

Use this low-profile cooler in systems with limited vertical clearance and ensure the case provides sufficient intake/exhaust airflow. Regularly clean the fan and heatsink fins to maintain optimal thermal performance; replace the thermal paste every 2–3 years or after removal.
