Server Case Silverstone CS382 Micro ATX Black
The Silverstone CS382 Micro ATX server case is a high-performance NAS chassis designed for Micro-ATX, Mini-DTX and Mini-ITX systems. It supports hot-swappable SAS-12G and SATA-6G drives, accommodates multiple cooling options including a top-mounted 240 mm or 280 mm liquid cooling radiator, and includes a front-panel lock to help protect installed drives. The case supports standard ATX and PS2 power supplies and comes in a compact black steel and plastic construction that fits rack-style storage or compact server builds.
CS382 provides eight hot-swappable drive trays that accept 2.5" or 3.5" SAS/SATA drives with individual drive-status LEDs. The top panel supports either a 240 mm or 280 mm radiator for improved CPU thermal performance in storage/ NAS environments, while the included front-panel lock offers physical protection against unauthorized drive removal. The case supports a variety of internal components such as full-height RAID or graphics cards, and includes a preinstalled 120 mm rear fan with space for additional top fans.
Install a compatible Micro-ATX, Mini-DTX or Mini-ITX motherboard and an appropriate ATX or PS2 power supply, then mount drives into the hot-swappable trays and insert them into the front bay. Connect SAS-12G or SATA-6G data cables and power connectors to the drives and ensure the drive-status LEDs indicate proper operation. If liquid cooling is required, mount a 240 mm or 280 mm radiator to the top panel following the radiator and fan orientation guidelines from the cooler manufacturer. Use the included rear 120 mm fan and add top fans as needed to maintain recommended airflow for storage components and CPU cooling.
For reliable NAS operation, use enterprise-grade SAS or SATA drives sized for continuous operation, configure hardware RAID or software RAID according to your redundancy needs, ensure adequate airflow around drive bays, and secure the front-panel lock when drives must remain in place. When installing a radiator, verify clearance for RAM and expansion cards to maintain compatibility with full-height RAID or graphics cards.
