Interface Card Silverstone FP32-E USB 3.2 Gen 1
Interface Card Silverstone FP32-E USB 3.2 Gen 1
The Silverstone FP32-E USB 3.2 Gen 1 interface card is an internal I/O expansion designed to add four USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports and HD audio connectors to desktop systems. Sized to fit a 3.5" drive bay, the module offers a compact black aluminum faceplate and a 0.6 m cable for connection to motherboard headers. Its parallel host interface provides straightforward integration with compatible motherboards, making it suitable as an add-on or upgrade for aluminum desktop cases where additional front-panel connectivity is required.
The FP32-E supplies four high-speed USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports that support fast data transfers for external drives and peripherals while keeping full backward compatibility with USB 2.0 and 1.1 devices. Integrated HD audio input and output connectors bring front-panel access to microphone and headphone jacks without the need to reach rear-panel ports. The compact 3.5" bay form factor and included 0.6 m cable simplify installation and cable routing inside most standard ATX and micro-ATX enclosures.
Install the FP32-E into an available 3.5" front drive bay and secure it using standard bay screws. Connect the included cable to the appropriate USB and HD audio headers on the motherboard according to the motherboard manual. After securing the connections and reassembling the case, power on the system and verify that the front USB ports and audio jacks are recognized by the operating system. No separate driver is typically required for USB 3.2 Gen 1 functionality on modern operating systems.
For reliable operation, connect the module to the correct motherboard header orientations to avoid misalignment. Use the front USB ports for external storage, peripherals, or charging, and keep cable lengths short inside the case to maintain airflow. When installing in tight enclosures, confirm the 3.5" bay clearance and routing for the 0.6 m cable.
