Power Supply Unit Silverstone FX500 500 W
The Silverstone FX500 500 W Flex ATX power supply unit is designed for compact servers and small form factor systems requiring a reliable power source. This PSU delivers up to 500 W of continuous power and is built to fit constrained internal spaces with compact dimensions of 81.5 mm (W) x 150 mm (D) x 40.5 mm (H). It includes a 20+4 pin ATX motherboard connector and active cooling via a 40 mm fan. The FX500 is 80 PLUS Gold certified, providing high conversion efficiency across a wide AC input range of 90–264 V and 47–63 Hz frequency.
The unit offers high energy efficiency with an 80 PLUS Gold rating, which reduces heat generation and operating costs compared with lower-efficiency models. Its compact Flex ATX form factor and modest weight of 0.96 kg simplify installation in tight server chassis and industrial enclosures. Active cooling with a 40 mm fan maintains stable operating temperatures, while included power cables with a 35 cm motherboard lead and SATA cables of 150 mm and 350 mm support common internal layouts.
Install the Silverstone FX500 into a compatible Flex ATX or small form factor chassis following the chassis manufacturer’s mounting instructions. Connect the 20+4 pin ATX cable to the motherboard main power socket and attach SATA power connectors to storage devices as required. Ensure the AC input is within the specified 90–264 V range and connect to a properly grounded power source. Allow clearance for airflow around the 40 mm fan and route cables to avoid obstructing internal cooling paths.
For reliable long-term operation, maintain ambient temperatures within the server or chassis manufacturer’s specified limits, keep dust away from the 40 mm fan, and avoid operating the PSU near its maximum rated load continuously. Use a surge protector or uninterruptible power supply (UPS) when deploying critical systems.
