PC Case Silverstone Grandia GD05 HTPC Black
The Silverstone Grandia GD05 HTPC Black is a compact home theater PC case engineered for quiet operation and efficient component layout. Its low-profile design accommodates DTX, Micro ATX and Mini-ITX motherboards while preserving a modern black finish that integrates with living-room AV equipment. The case places the power supply at the bottom, supports two 3.5" and two 2.5" drives plus one 5.25" bay, and provides three 120 mm side fans to maintain effective airflow without compromising the slim silhouette.
The case offers a balance of storage flexibility and cooling: multiple drive bays allow both large-format and compact drives, while three pre-installed 120 mm side fans support consistent air circulation. A bottom-mounted power supply arrangement improves internal cable routing and weight distribution. The front panel includes two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports for fast external connectivity. Constructed from plastic, aluminium and SECC, the enclosure achieves a lightweight profile at 4.7 kg while remaining durable for long-term use.
Install a compatible DTX, Micro ATX or Mini-ITX motherboard according to the case standoff layout and secure it with standard screws. Mount the power supply in the bottom compartment and route cables through the available openings to maintain tidy airflow paths. Populate the 3.5" and 2.5" drive trays or adapter brackets as needed, and connect drive power and data cables to the motherboard. Use the front-panel USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports for high-speed external storage or peripherals. Ensure the three 120 mm side fans are unobstructed and that intake/exhaust clearances are respected when placing the case in an entertainment cabinet.
For optimal thermal performance, position the case with unobstructed side clearance to allow the 120 mm fans to draw and expel air efficiently. Use cable ties to secure cables away from fan paths and choose low-profile CPU coolers when building with larger GPUs to preserve internal space. If installing multiple 3.5" drives, confirm the power supply has sufficient SATA power connectors and choose a PSU of appropriate length for the bottom-mounted bay.
