SILVERSTONE RM43-324-RS is a 4U rackmount case engineered to accommodate ATX form-factor motherboards in a compact, rack-compatible chassis. The front of the enclosure provides accessible 3.5" drive bays for storage devices while the internal layout reserves space for a standard power supply and multiple cooling components. Rack ears are included to simplify installation into standard 19" server racks, making the chassis suitable for server, workstation or storage applications in data centers and office environments.
The RM43-324-RS combines a standardized 4U height with an ATX-compatible interior, enabling straightforward integration of widely used motherboard and power supply configurations. Front 3.5" drive bays allow easy addition or replacement of mechanical hard drives without requiring internal reconfiguration. Included rack ears streamline mounting into 19" racks, reducing setup time. The case layout supports organized cable routing and placement of cooling components to maintain airflow and system reliability.
Install an ATX motherboard onto the internal standoffs and secure a standard ATX power supply in its designated location. Mount 3.5" drives into the front-accessible bays and connect data and power cables following the motherboard and drive interface specifications. Use the included rack ears to fasten the chassis into a 19" rack, ensuring proper alignment and support. Configure airflow by installing compatible fans or cooling solutions in the reserved internal positions and route cables to avoid obstructing vents and fans.
For reliable operation, use drives and power supplies that match the chassis’ physical dimensions and cooling capacity. Maintain clear airflow paths and verify rack mounting is secure and evenly supported. When deploying in a data center, label front drive bays and cable connections to simplify maintenance and hot-swap procedures where applicable.
