Fan Silverstone Shark Force 160 ARGB 1600 RPM Fluid Dynamic Bearing
Fan Silverstone Shark Force 160 ARGB 1600 RPM Fluid Dynamic Bearing
The SilverStone Shark Force 160 ARGB is a performance-enhanced 160 mm PWM fan designed to deliver increased cooling power by using a larger blade surface while fitting standard 140 mm mounts. It features ARGB lighting with a 4-1 pin connector, a Fluid Dynamic Bearing for quiet, long-lasting operation, and a three-phase, six-pole motor for improved torque and efficiency. The fan measures 160 x 160 x 25 mm and is available in black or white.
The larger 160 mm dimension provides a greater cooling surface area and higher airflow compared with typical 140 mm fans while still mounting in 140 mm holes. Shark Force blade geometry, inspired by shark skin, passively optimizes airflow and pressure distribution to improve performance and reduce noise. The three-phase, six-pole motor combined with Fluid Dynamic Bearing increases torque, reliability and quiet operation. Modular cabling separates power and ARGB lighting for easier cable management and the option to disable lighting.
Install the SilverStone Shark Force 160 ARGB in a compatible mounting location using the 140 mm holes provided by your case. Connect the PWM power cable to an available fan header on the motherboard or a PWM hub to allow speed control. Attach the 4-1 pin ARGB connector to a compatible ARGB header on the motherboard or to an ARGB controller to enable lighting. Ensure screws are tightened securely but not over-torqued and confirm clear airflow paths around the fan for optimal performance.
For quiet operation, enable PWM control and let the motherboard manage fan curves so the fan runs at lower RPM under light loads. For radiator use or higher static pressure needs, configure a more aggressive fan curve up to the 1600 RPM maximum. If ARGB effects are not required, disconnect the ARGB connector using the modular cabling to simplify cable routing and eliminate lighting power draw.
