Camera Kit Sirui TY-D3 for Nikon D3 D3X D3s D4 Black Aluminium
Camera Kit Sirui TY-D3 for Nikon D3 D3X D3s D4 Black Aluminium
The Sirui TY-D3 camera kit for Nikon D3, D3X, D3s and D4 is a compact quick release plate and mounting solution crafted from forged aluminium alloy. Designed specifically for Nikon D3-series bodies, the kit combines a low weight of 47.7 g with a compact footprint (69.7 mm length × 66 mm width) to provide a reliable, durable interface between camera and tripod head while preserving camera balance and handling.
The forged aluminium construction offers higher density and greater strength than die-cast alternatives, ensuring long-term durability and resistance to wear. The plate’s slide-stopping rubber mat provides increased grip during screw tightening to reduce lateral movement of the camera or lens. Red anti-twist stoppers help prevent the camera from rotating or shifting on the plate when moving the ball head. Its lightweight and compact design minimises added mass while maintaining a secure connection to tripod heads and quick-release clamps.
Attach the Sirui TY-D3 plate to the tripod head or quick-release clamp following the clamp manufacturer’s instructions. Fasten the plate to the camera’s tripod socket using the included screw (or a compatible 1/4" screw), ensuring the slide-stopping rubber mat is aligned under the camera base to minimise movement while tightening. Verify the red anti-twist stoppers are engaged to prevent rotation, then mount the camera and check stability before use. For long lenses or heavier configurations, confirm the connection and balance after mounting and make any necessary adjustments to tripod head tension.
For secure long-term use, periodically inspect the plate and rubber mat for wear, and re-tighten the mounting screw before each session. When using heavy lenses, ensure the tripod head and clamp are rated for the combined load and confirm the anti-twist stoppers are correctly positioned to prevent rotation.
