Rear mudguard SKS 11670 Black Plastic 840 mm 318 g
The SKS 11670 rear mudguard is a long, black rear fender designed to protect mountain bikes from dirt and spray water. Made of fiberglass-reinforced plastic, it integrates with the rear wheel and frame to form a compact unit. The 840 mm length and lightweight construction (318 g) provide extensive coverage while remaining unobtrusive; the matte-black finish suits a range of bike styles. The design is compatible with full-suspension frames and bikes fitted with a Vario seatpost.
Constructed from durable fiberglass-reinforced plastic, this mudguard deflects dirt and water effectively thanks to its very long profile. The soft, wedge-shaped pads in the mounting brackets protect the frame and allow height adjustment by rotating and using two mounting positions. Rubberised hook-and-loop fasteners secure the fender to the seat stays without damaging the frame. An optional clip-on extender and an additional extension increase protection in the bottom bracket and derailleur areas. Includes hook-and-loop straps and a frame protection film.
Attach the mudguard to the rear seat stays using the supplied rubberised hook-and-loop fasteners; position the soft wedge-shaped pad between the bracket and the frame to protect the paintwork. Adjust the pad rotation and choose one of two positions to set the height and distance from the tyre. If extra protection is needed, slide the clip-on extender toward the seat tube and trim it with scissors to fit. Attach the additional extension to the lower rear end of the fender when increased splash protection is required.
Check the clearance between tyre and fender after mounting and re-tighten the hook-and-loop fasteners before each ride. Trim the extender carefully and test fit before permanent installation to ensure no contact with the tyre.
