SmallRig 3294 Seamless Focus Gear Ring 75-77mm Rubber Black

The SmallRig 3294 Seamless Focus Gear Ring 75-77mm Rubber Black is a specialized accessory designed for camera lens follow focus systems to achieve smooth, accurate, and stable focal length adjustments during video shooting and professional filmmaking. Crafted from durable and elastic black rubber, this gear ring fits the lens surface seamlessly and evenly without causing distortion or generating unwanted noise. Its anti-slip surface design and standard 0.8 MOD gear pitch ensure reliable, precise conduction and stable transmission for 360-degree rotation.

Advantages

This seamless focus gear ring offers a reliable solution for filmmakers seeking precise manual focus control. Constructed from a flexible and moderate-stiffness material, it wraps around the lens barrel tightly to remain coaxial with the lens, preventing slipping or uneven movement during operation. The standard 0.8 MOD design guarantees broad compatibility with standard follow focus motors and units, while the noise-free and distortion-free rotation ensures professional audio and visual results in any production environment.

Suitable for

• Professional video production and indie filmmaking
• Camera lens follow focus system setups
• Precise 360-degree manual focal length and focus adjustments

When it may not be suitable

This gear ring may not be suitable for lenses with an outer diameter outside the 75mm to 77mm range. Additionally, it cannot be used with lenses that lack manual focus functionality or systems that do not adhere to the standard 0.8 MOD gear pitch.

Key specifications

• Outer diameter range: 75 to 77 mm
• Gear pitch: Standard 0.8 MOD
• Rotation: 360-degree seamless rotation
• Material: Durable elastic rubber
• Color: Black

How to use

To use the SmallRig 3294 focus gear ring, first ensure your camera lens outer diameter falls between 75 and 77 mm. Align the elastic rubber ring with the lens focus ring and stretch it gently to fit snugly over the barrel. Verify that the gear ring is positioned evenly and remains coaxial with the lens to ensure stable transmission. Once securely mounted, engage the gear with your follow focus system, adjusting the position as needed to achieve smooth and accurate 360-degree rotation during shooting.

What to consider before purchase

• Verify the exact outer diameter of your camera lens to ensure it matches the 75-77 mm range
• Check compatibility with your existing follow focus system or motor regarding the standard 0.8 MOD gear pitch
• Ensure your lens allows for external gear attachment and manual follow focus operation

For optimal performance, always inspect the gear ring for proper alignment and tension before each shooting session, and store lenses in a clean environment to maintain the elasticity and cleanliness of the rubber material.
