SmallRig 5534 HDMI and USB-C Cable Clamp for Canon EOS R50 V Cage

The SmallRig 5534 HDMI and USB-C Cable Clamp for Canon EOS R50 V Cage is a dedicated accessory engineered to secure your connections during video shooting and content creation. By firmly holding HDMI and USB-C cables in place, this clamp prevents accidental disconnections and potential signal loss, ensuring a stable and uninterrupted workflow. Built to meet the demands of everyday filming, it protects the delicate camera ports from strain and physical damage during tethered shooting setups.

Advantages

Using a dedicated cable clamp significantly improves reliability during video production by eliminating the risk of sudden cable pulls that can interrupt recording or corrupt data files. The custom-designed profile fits the corresponding camera cage seamlessly, providing a secure grip on multiple cables simultaneously without adding unnecessary bulk to your rig. Constructed from durable materials, it withstands regular field use while maintaining a lightweight and compact form factor. This protective accessory extends the lifespan of your camera ports by relieving tension caused by heavy or rigid tethered cables.

Suitable for

• Video shooting and content creation with the Canon EOS R50 V camera cage
• Tethered shooting workflows requiring stable data and video transmission
• Studio and location recording where cable strain is a constant risk
• Projects where preventing accidental signal loss is critical

When it may not be suitable, this accessory is not designed to function as a standalone cable holder without the specific compatible camera cage. It is also unnecessary for users who exclusively shoot wirelessly without attaching external HDMI or USB-C cables to the camera.

Key specifications

• Compatible camera cage: Canon EOS R50 V cage
• Supported cable types: HDMI and USB-C cables
• Function: Cable security and port strain relief

To use the cable clamp, first ensure your camera is properly installed within the compatible cage. Align the clamp with the designated mounting points on the side of the cage and secure it using the thumbscrew or fastening mechanism. Position your HDMI and USB-C cables into the respective channels of the clamp, then tighten the adjustable blocks to firmly press against the cables without crushing the outer insulation. Verify that the cables are held tightly and check that the plugs remain fully seated in the camera ports before starting your recording session.

What to consider before purchase

• Verify that you own or plan to purchase the specific compatible camera cage for proper mounting
• Confirm that your setup utilizes external HDMI or USB-C cables that require strain relief
• Check the outer diameter of your cables to ensure they fit securely within the clamp channels

Usage recommendations: Regularly inspect the fastening screws and cable channels for wear to maintain optimal grip strength. Avoid overtightening the thumbscrews to prevent potential damage to the cable jackets or internal wiring.
