Garbage Bags Sortex 60L HDPE 60x70 cm 13 µm, green, biodegradable, pack of 25

Sortex green garbage bags are made from HDPE with a nominal capacity of 60 litres and external dimensions of 60 x 70 cm. The film thickness is 13 µm, and the bags are supplied in a pack of 25. These biodegradable bags are intended for everyday household and light commercial waste collection, bin lining and short-term refuse storage. Their design targets light to medium loads and regular waste disposal routines where a slim, durable film is sufficient.

Advantages

The bags combine a low-weight HDPE construction with a 13 µm film thickness that balances flexibility and tear resistance for typical domestic and office refuse. The green colour provides clear visual identification for organic or mixed waste streams. Supplied in a compact pack of 25, they are convenient to store and replace. Biodegradable additives reduce the long-term persistence of plastic in appropriate waste processing environments.

Suitable for

• Household kitchen waste and general domestic refuse
• Office waste bins and light commercial bins
• Bin lining for 50–70 L containers
• Short-term storage prior to disposal or collection

When it may not be suitable

These bags are designed for light to medium loads; they are not intended for heavy, sharp or highly abrasive materials that could puncture or tear the film. They are not a replacement for dedicated heavy-duty or puncture-resistant sacks used for construction debris, garden waste with branches, or sharp metal parts. Their biodegradable properties depend on appropriate waste-processing conditions and do not imply immediate degradation in all environments.

Key specifications

• Material: HDPE (high-density polyethylene)
• Capacity: 60 litres
• Dimensions: 60 x 70 cm
• Film thickness: 13 µm
• Colour: green
• Pack quantity: 25 bags
• Biodegradable additive: present (designed to reduce persistence in suitable processing conditions)

How to use

Place one bag inside the bin and fold the open edge over the rim so the bag stays in position during filling. Avoid overfilling beyond the recommended capacity to reduce the risk of tearing; distribute sharp or heavy items separately or use a heavier duty bag. Tie or securely close the bag before moving to reduce spills and odour. Store unopened packs in a dry, shaded place at room temperature to preserve film properties.

What to consider before purchase

• Intended load: suitable for light to medium household and office waste, not for heavy or sharp debris
• Bin size compatibility: recommended for 50–70 L containers
• Environmental processing: biodegradable behaviour requires appropriate industrial or composting environments
• Quantity needs: pack of 25 may be suitable for small households or short-term use

Usage recommendations

For routine kitchen and office waste, use one bag per bin and avoid compacting or forcing heavy objects into the bag. For wet waste, place absorbent material at the bottom to reduce leakage risk. Replace bags regularly to maintain hygiene and reduce odour buildup.
