Portable radio Soundmaster DAB280BE — Analog & digital tuner, DAB+/FM, 1.2 W, beige, AC/battery
The Soundmaster DAB280BE is a compact portable radio combining analog FM and digital DAB+ reception in a lightweight beige housing. Designed for simple bedside, kitchen or travel use, it provides clear tuning across DAB+ and FM bands and can be powered from mains or batteries. With a 1.2 W RMS speaker output the radio delivers intelligible sound for voice and background music while remaining small enough to move between rooms or take on trips.
The device supports both DAB+ and FM tuning, allowing access to modern digital stations as well as traditional analog broadcasts. Dual power options—230 V AC or standard 1.5 V alkaline batteries—ensure continuous operation at home or on the go without complicated setup. The compact footprint and lightweight construction make the unit convenient for placement on a bedside table, kitchen counter or for portable use. Controls are straightforward for quick station selection and volume adjustment.
Connect the radio to a 230 V AC outlet using the supplied power lead for stationary use, or insert the required 1.5 V alkaline batteries for portable operation. Switch the tuner between DAB+ and FM mode to scan and select available stations; use the manual controls to fine-tune reception and adjust volume to the preferred listening level. Place the radio on a flat surface away from strong electromagnetic sources for best reception. When using batteries, replace them when audio becomes weak or intermittent to maintain reliable performance.
For optimal digital reception, place the radio near a window or in a higher position in the room. When using battery power for travel, carry spare alkaline cells and power off the unit when not in use to extend battery life.
