Screw SPAX BLAX 60 mm Steel 200 pcs
SPAX BLAX screws are steel, 60 mm long fastening screws supplied in packs of 200. They feature a full thread that runs almost the entire length, a flat countersunk head with a polygonal underside, and a 4CUT arrow-shaped tip. The T-STAR plus hexalobular internal drive provides large contact surfaces between bit and screw head, enabling precise force transmission and reduced cam-out for efficient serial fastening. The combination of full thread, 4CUT point and flat countersunk head makes these screws suitable for secure, flush fastening in wood without visible heads and with reduced risk of edge splitting.
The T-STAR plus drive increases contact area with the bit and positions bits optimally to minimise slipping and enable fast, precise torque transfer. The flat countersunk head with pockets mills into wood so it can be recessed flush without pre-countersinking in many cases. Full-thread design provides greater tensile and compressive force transfer for heavy-duty wood connections. The 4CUT tip displaces wood fibres to reduce core expansion and splitting, while also lowering the required cordless screwdriver torque.
Select a T-STAR plus bit of matching size and mount it in a cordless screwdriver or power driver. Position the screw head flush on the workpiece and drive the screw using steady pressure. For the flat countersunk head, the polygonal underside will mill into the wood and allow the head to sit flush; pre-drilling is generally not required depending on the wood species and density. Apply lower torque near edges or in thin workpieces to avoid over-tightening.
Use the SPAX BLAX 60 mm screws with a compatible T-STAR plus bit. Test on a scrap piece of the same wood to determine whether pre-drilling is needed and to set the correct torque on your driver. When working close to edges, reduce driving speed and torque to further minimise splitting risk.
