STABILA Type 80AS-2 19170 Spirit Level 60 cm

The STABILA Type 80AS-2 19170 is a professional-grade 60 cm spirit level engineered for high-precision leveling tasks. Constructed with a lightweight yet rigid aluminum rectangular profile, this tool provides excellent stability and durability for both construction professionals and demanding DIY enthusiasts. The level is equipped with high-quality, permanently installed vials that ensure clear readability and consistent accuracy in both horizontal and vertical positions.

The design of the STABILA Type 80AS-2 focuses on user convenience and operational reliability. It features integrated anti-slip stoppers that prevent the level from shifting during marking or measurement, ensuring that the tool remains firmly in place on various surfaces. The electrostatic powder coating protects the profile against wear and makes it easy to clean after use, maintaining its functionality over a long service life.

Advantages

This spirit level offers exceptional measurement precision due to its high-quality vial technology, which is calibrated for long-term stability. The lightweight aluminum frame reduces fatigue during extended use while maintaining the structural integrity required for heavy-duty applications. Its anti-slip stoppers significantly improve safety and accuracy by preventing accidental movement, allowing for precise marking even on smooth surfaces. The robust design is resistant to common job site conditions, ensuring that the tool remains a reliable companion for various leveling projects.

Suitable for

• General construction and masonry work
• Carpentry and furniture assembly
• Installing shelves, cabinets, and wall fixtures
• DIY home improvement and renovation projects
• Professional interior finishing

This spirit level may not be suitable for tasks requiring extreme precision over very long distances, such as large-scale surveying or industrial alignment projects where specialized laser levels or optical instruments are required. It is also not intended for use in environments with extreme temperatures that could affect the liquid in the vials or the structural integrity of the aluminum frame.

Key specifications

• Length: 60 cm
• Material: Lightweight aluminum rectangular profile
• Vials: One horizontal and one vertical vial
• Surface: Electrostatic powder coating
• Features: Integrated anti-slip stoppers

To use the STABILA Type 80AS-2, place the level firmly against the surface or object you wish to measure. For horizontal leveling, observe the bubble in the horizontal vial; it is perfectly level when the bubble is centered between the two markings. For vertical leveling, use the vertical vial in the same manner. Ensure the anti-slip stoppers are in contact with the surface to prevent the tool from sliding while you mark your reference points.

What to consider before purchase

• Verify that the 60 cm length is appropriate for your specific workspace and project scale.
• Ensure the tool is stored in a way that prevents it from being dropped or subjected to heavy impacts.
• Consider if you require additional features like magnetic strips, which are not present on this specific model.

Usage recommendations

Regularly clean the vials and the profile with a damp cloth to ensure clear visibility and accurate readings. Avoid exposing the spirit level to extreme heat or direct sunlight for prolonged periods to maintain the integrity of the vial liquid.
