The StarTech.com PEXSAT34RH is a 4-port PCI Express 2.0 SATA III controller card that adds four internal AHCI SATA III (6 Gbps) ports to a desktop system through a PCIe x2 slot. It uses a Marvell 88SE9230-based design to provide high-speed connections for HDDs and SSDs, supports native RAID modes (0, 1, 10) and JBOD, and includes HyperDuo SSD auto-tiering to combine the performance of SSDs with the capacity and cost benefits of HDDs.

Advantages

The card delivers multiple internal 6 Gbps SATA connections for improved storage throughput, hardware RAID support for RAID 0, 1 and 10 configurations, and Port Multiplier support to attach additional drives through a single port. HyperDuo technology automatically moves frequently accessed data to SSD storage for faster reads while maintaining a larger HDD volume for bulk storage. How to use
