The USB 3.0 Card StarTech.com PEXUSB3S11 adds one internal and one external SuperSpeed USB 3.0 (USB 3.2 Gen 1) port to a desktop PC via a PCI Express slot. It uses a native NEC PCIe host controller and supports data transfer rates up to 5 Gbps while remaining backward compatible with USB 2.0 and 1.1 devices. The card includes an internal header for front-bay hubs or internal USB 3.0 storage and an optional SATA power connector to supply up to 900 mA per port for bus-powered devices.

Advantages

The PEXUSB3S11 provides both internal and external connectivity in a compact card, enabling connection of internal drives or front-panel hubs as well as external peripherals. How to use

Power down the PC and install the card into an available PCI Express slot on the motherboard. If you require internal USB connectivity, connect a compatible front-bay hub or internal device to the board’s internal USB 3.0 header.
