The StarTech SATA to 2.5in/3.5in IDE adapter cable converts a SATA data (7-pin) and SATA power (15-pin) connection into legacy IDE interfaces so that 2.5" and 3.5" PATA/IDE hard drives can be used with SATA HDD docking stations, duplicators or SATA-only systems. The adapter supports both 40-pin (ATAPI/PATA) and 44-pin (laptop) IDE connectors and provides LP4 power compatibility for older drives. Constructed in black with an all-metal mounting interface, the adapter is designed for quick insertion and removal of IDE drives in SATA docks and for data access, cloning or recovery tasks.

How to use
