The StarTech ST121SHD50 AV transmitter & receiver kit extends HDMI video and audio up to 165 ft (50 m) over dual Cat5e or Cat6 cables. The compact transmitter and receiver support full HD resolutions up to 1920 x 1080 (1080p) and include Power over Cable so only a single power adapter is required for either end. The kit is suitable for installations using new or existing Ethernet cabling and includes mounting hardware for flexible placement.

How to use

Connect the HDMI source (Blu-ray player, PC, media player) to the transmitter unit’s HDMI input and connect the display to the receiver unit’s HDMI output. Run two Cat5e or Cat6 cables between the transmitter and receiver RJ-45 ports. Plug the included power adapter into either the transmitter or the receiver to enable Power over Cable and power both units. Ensure EDID settings are left at default for automatic resolution negotiation with the display.

Usage recommendations
