The StarTech.com USBBT1EDR4 is an ultra-compact USB Bluetooth 4.0 adapter that adds Bluetooth wireless capability to a laptop or desktop via a USB port. Designed for Bluetooth Smart Ready devices, it supports a transfer range of up to 50 m (165 ft) when connected devices support Bluetooth Class 1, and offers backward compatibility with Bluetooth versions 3.0, 2.0, 1.2 and 1.1.
