CB antenna Sunker ELITE 115 — mobile/base antenna, model ELITE115

Sunker ELITE 115 is a CB (citizens band) antenna designed for operation on the 27 MHz CB band. Engineered for use as a mobile antenna on vehicles or as a fixed base antenna, the ELITE 115 provides a solution for local two-way radio communication. The design focuses on reliable transmission and reception for typical CB radio applications encountered on roads, worksites and in hobby environments.

Advantages

The ELITE 115 offers a versatile mounting concept suitable for both mobile and stationary installations, enabling straightforward use on vehicles and permanent masts. It is tuned specifically for the 27 MHz CB range to facilitate efficient signal transfer and improved match with standard CB transceivers. The antenna construction emphasizes durability and consistent performance to maintain communication quality under routine operating conditions.

Suitable for

• Vehicle-mounted CB radio for road communication
• Fixed base station for local two-way communication
• Worksite communication where reliable short-range radio is required
• Hobbyist and club use on meetings, rallies, and field events

Key specifications

• Frequency band: 27 MHz CB band
• Type: Mobile and base (dual-purpose) antenna
• Application: Two-way voice communication on CB radios
• Mechanical design: Intended for vehicle mounting or fixed installation

How to use

Install the antenna according to the chosen mounting method: attach to a compatible vehicle mount for mobile use or secure to a mast or bracket for a fixed base station. Connect to a CB radio using an appropriate coaxial cable and PL-type connector matched to your transceiver. After mechanical and electrical connection, adjust the antenna position and, if available, use an SWR meter to check and fine-tune the antenna for lowest standing wave ratio within the 27 MHz range.

Usage recommendations

Place the antenna clear of large metal obstructions where possible and ensure secure fastening to prevent movement at speed or in wind. Use good quality coaxial cable and connectors to reduce losses. Periodically inspect mounting hardware and connections for corrosion or wear to maintain reliable performance.
