Motherboard Supermicro X12SCV-LVDS Mini-ITX LGA1200 W480E USB 3.2 Gen 2 2x Gigabit LAN HD Audio (CPU required)
Supermicro X12SCV-LVDS is a Mini-ITX motherboard based on the Intel W480E chipset with an LGA1200 socket. It supports 10th and 11th generation Intel processors with integrated graphics (CPU with iGPU required) and is intended for compact workstations, embedded systems, and industrial or multimedia appliances where space efficiency and reliable connectivity are priorities. The board features two Gigabit Ethernet ports, USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports for faster peripheral connections, onboard HD audio and multiple storage interfaces including SATA and M.2.
The motherboard combines a small Mini-ITX form factor with server-class chipset features, enabling professional connectivity and manageability in tight spaces. Dual Gigabit LAN provides network redundancy or segmentation without add-in cards. Native USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports deliver high-speed connectivity for external storage or peripherals, while onboard HD audio and LVDS support (where applicable) allow multimedia output in integrated systems. Support for up to 64 GB of DDR4 memory across two SO-DIMM slots and M.2 plus SATA storage options offers flexibility for performance and capacity needs.
Install a compatible LGA1200 CPU (with integrated graphics if onboard video output is required), insert DDR4 SO-DIMM modules according to the motherboard manual, and connect storage devices to the SATA ports or the M.2 slot. Attach power and peripheral cables, configure BIOS/UEFI settings for memory and storage modes, and install the operating system and drivers provided by the motherboard or chipset vendor. Use the dual Gigabit LAN ports to configure network roles such as separate management and data networks or link redundancy.
Use a low-profile cooling solution compatible with LGA1200 and observe the CPU TDP limits supported by the board (up to 65 W for certain processors). For reliable operation in embedded or industrial environments, secure the board in a properly ventilated chassis, update firmware to the latest recommended version, and configure network and storage settings according to your deployment needs.
