The Synology FX2421 is a 24-bay 2.5" expansion unit designed to extend Synology FlashStation systems with up to 24 additional 2.5" drives. Once connected to a compatible FlashStation, the FX2421 is immediately available without extra software configuration. It can also serve as a local backup target with fast accessibility and integrates with Synology enterprise SAT5200 SATA SSDs for validated compatibility and long-term support.

Advantages

FX2421 provides high-bandwidth data transmission via the supplied high-speed expansion cable, enabling low-latency access to drives as if they were installed directly in the FlashStation.
