The Synology UC3200 is a 2U rack-mounted unified controller SAN engineered for reliable, highly available iSCSI services in small and medium business environments. Equipped with dual active-active controllers, an Intel® Xeon® D-1521 4-core processor (2.4 GHz, burst up to 2.7 GHz), support for up to 12 x 3.5"/2.5" HDD/SSD drives, and modular redundant components, the UC3200 is designed to deliver continuous block storage services with hardware-level security and flexible expansion options.

Advantages

Dual controller modules operate in active-active mode with automatic failover to maintain uninterrupted iSCSI services. The unit supports high-density SAS drives with up to 576 TB raw capacity, SED (Self Encrypting Drive) support for hardware-level data encryption, and a dedicated SATA DOM to isolate the operating system from user data. Hot-swappable 500W redundant power supplies and modular fans reduce service downtime. How to use

Install the UC3200 in a standard 19" rack and populate drive bays with supported HDDs or SSDs. Connect network interfaces and, if required, install a 10GbE/25GbE NIC in the PCIe 3.0 slot to increase throughput. Use the DSM UC management portal to configure iSCSI LUNs, set up RAID groups, enable SED where supported, and configure networking (link aggregation, VLANs). For capacity expansion, connect compatible Synology expansion units to the Mini-SAS HD port. Configure Snapshot Replication and schedule snapshots to protect critical volumes and virtual machines.
