The Techly IDATA EX-HL21D AV transmitter & receiver kit converts HDMI signals into network signals and transmits video and audio over Cat.6/Cat.6a/Cat.7 cable up to 60 m at Full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution. The kit includes IR pass-through support so users can control connected devices remotely using IR remotes; the IR channel supports devices in the 20–60 kHz range. The compact black units are suitable for integrating into AV setups where long-distance HDMI routing is required.

How to use

Connect the HDMI source (media player, PC, set-top box) to the transmitter unit's HDMI input and connect the display to the receiver unit's HDMI output. Use a single Cat.6/Cat.6a/Cat.7 cable between the transmitter and receiver RJ-45 ports. Power both units with their 5 V adapters. Verify the source resolution and set the display to a supported resolution (up to 1920 x 1080). For IR control, connect the IR emitter to the transmitter and the IR receiver to the receiver as indicated in the manual, so remote commands are relayed between devices.

Usage recommendations

For best performance, use high-quality shielded Cat.6 or Cat.6a cable, avoid running the cable alongside high-voltage power lines, and ensure both ends are securely terminated.
