PVC Repair Patch Film Technicoll T-048 — 8.4 cm × 50 cm, thickness 0.18 mm
Technicoll PVC Repair Patch Film T-048 is a flexible PVC sheet measuring 8.4 cm × 50 cm with a thickness of 0.18 mm. It is intended for creating or reinforcing repair patches on PVC and similar synthetic materials. The film is suitable for use on inflatable products, tarpaulins, awnings and seams when combined with appropriate adhesives or heat-welding techniques, providing a thin, conformable layer that follows curved surfaces and stitched areas.
The repair film offers a combination of thin profile and flexibility that allows neat, low-bulk patches which adhere well when paired with compatible PVC adhesives or heat-welding. Its dimensions provide a strip long enough for multiple small repairs or longer seam reinforcement. The material resists typical outdoor stresses encountered by tarpaulins and awnings and is easy to trim to the required shape for precise application.
Clean and dry the damaged area thoroughly, removing dirt, oils and loose material. Cut the patch film to the required size and shape, allowing adequate overlap beyond the repaired area. Apply a suitable PVC adhesive to both the substrate and the patch according to the adhesive manufacturer's instructions, or prepare for heat-welding if that method is appropriate. Position the patch carefully, press firmly to eliminate air pockets, and ensure consistent pressure while the adhesive cures or while cooling after heat-welding. Trim any excess film for a neat finish.
For durable results, use adhesives specified for PVC or professional heat-welding equipment. Test adhesion on a small inconspicuous area if material compatibility is uncertain. Store the film flat in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to preserve workability.
