The TechniSat GigaSystem 17/8 G is a compact multiswitch designed to distribute satellite and terrestrial antenna signals to up to eight subscribers. The unit provides 17 inputs: 16 satellite IF inputs that accommodate signals from up to four Quattro LNBs (four satellite blocks per LNB) and one terrestrial antenna input. Incoming signals are processed individually and amplified with slope compensation to offset higher cable attenuation at higher frequencies.

How to use

Install the GigaSystem 17/8 G in a dry, ventilated location and connect the four Quattro LNB outputs to the corresponding 16 satellite IF inputs. Connect the terrestrial antenna to the dedicated terrestrial input. Connect subscriber coax cables to the eight outputs. Plug the included mains adapter into a 230 V, 50–60 Hz outlet to power the unit; the internal supply will feed the unit itself and can provide power to cascaded multiswitches and connected LNBs if required.
