LNB TechniSat 0010/8986 Low Noise Block downconverter 10.7–12.75 GHz, 250 mA, grey
The TechniSat 0010/8986 Low Noise Block downconverter (LNB) is designed for satellite reception in the 10.7–12.75 GHz band. Housed in a compact grey enclosure measuring 135 × 60 × 145 mm and weighing 0.416 kg, this LNB converts and amplifies incoming microwave signals to a lower intermediate frequency (IF) suitable for satellite receivers. It draws up to 250 mA and is intended for use with SAT antennas and compatible dish holders.
The LNB provides stable signal conversion across the full 10.7–12.75 GHz reception range and supports single-cable SCR distribution for multi-user installations. Its compact housing and modest current consumption simplify installation and integration with existing satellite TV systems. The product colour and physical size make it suitable for standard mounting on SATMAN and similar dishes.
Mount the LNB on a compatible satellite dish holder (such as SATMAN AZ/EL holders) following the dish manufacturer's instructions to ensure correct focal alignment. Connect the coaxial feedline from the LNB output(s) to the satellite receiver(s) or to a distribution cabling system. For SCR single-cable installations, configure receivers that support the SCR protocol (EN 50494) to access the individual user channels over the single coax. For legacy receivers, use one of the universal outputs to provide a conventional feed. Provide a stable 13/18 V and 22 kHz control supply from the receiver or distribution equipment as required by the system design.
Position and align the dish precisely for the target satellite and use quality coaxial cable and connectors to minimize signal loss. In mixed installations, combine SCR and legacy outputs only when cable routing and receiver compatibility have been checked. Ensure weatherproofing of outdoor connections and periodic inspection to maintain reliable reception.
