Sealed AGM battery Technocell TC4.5-12 12V 4.5Ah for UPS and standby power
Technocell TC4.5-12 is a sealed AGM lead-acid battery with a nominal voltage of 12 V and a rated capacity of 4.5 Ah. It is designed for standby power applications such as uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), alarm and security systems, emergency lighting and other systems that require reliable, maintenance-free backup energy. The battery features a valve-regulated, spill-proof construction and is intended for stationary use in enclosed equipment where periodic charging and occasional discharge cycles occur.
The sealed AGM design provides low internal resistance for efficient charging and discharging while eliminating the need for regular electrolyte maintenance. Valve regulation prevents overpressure and reduces the risk of leakage, enabling safe installation in confined spaces and various orientations. The battery offers long shelf life when stored at appropriate temperature and charge levels, and its compact dimensions make it suitable for installations with limited space. Performance characteristics are appropriate for cyclic and float applications commonly found in UPS and standby power systems.
Install the battery in a well-ventilated, dry enclosure and secure it to prevent movement. Connect the positive and negative terminals to the equipment using appropriate gauge wiring and corrosion-resistant terminations, ensuring correct polarity. Charge the battery using a compatible charger or UPS charging circuit configured for sealed lead-acid AGM batteries, observing recommended float and cycle charge voltages. Do not connect multiple batteries in series or parallel unless approved by the system design and ensuring matched capacity, age and state of charge. Replace the battery at the end of its useful service life as indicated by reduced run-time or failure to accept charge.
Store and operate the battery within the temperature range advised by the equipment manufacturer. Maintain the battery on a float charge for standby applications to preserve capacity. Periodically test batteries used in critical backup systems and replace aging units to ensure reliable performance. Dispose of the battery through authorized recycling channels in accordance with local regulations.
