Satellite antenna Televes S65EL-G
The Televes S65EL-G satellite antenna is a compact, high-gain parabolic reflector designed for reception in the 10.7–12.75 GHz satellite band. Constructed from aluminium with a graphite finish, the antenna combines mechanical rigidity and weather resistance with a focused radiation pattern that delivers a specified gain of 36.8 dBi. With overall dimensions of approximately 610 mm wide by 665 mm high and an adjustable elevation range from 0° to 90°, this unit is intended for stable reception of Ku-band satellite signals in residential or light-commercial installations.
The antenna offers a high gain of 36.8 dBi in the 10.7–12.75 GHz frequency range, improving signal strength and margin against interference and rain fade. Its aluminium construction ensures corrosion resistance and reduced weight compared with heavier alloys while the graphite finish provides additional UV and weather protection. The wide elevation adjustment (0–90°) simplifies alignment to satellites at different orbital positions, and the relatively compact dimensions make it suitable where space or mounting area is limited.
Mount the Televes S65EL-G on a stable mast or wall bracket using appropriate hardware rated for outdoor use. Point the reflector roughly toward the satellite orbital position and adjust elevation within the 0–90° range to achieve the strongest signal. Fine-tune azimuth and polarization using a signal meter or receiver signal quality readout until optimal lock and signal-to-noise ratio are achieved. Ensure all RF connections are weatherproofed and that the feed and LNB are securely fastened before final tightening of mounting clamps.
For reliable long-term operation, install the antenna with a clear line of sight to the satellite and away from nearby obstructions. Use corrosion-resistant fasteners and seal coax connections with appropriate outdoor-rated tape or sealant. Periodically inspect the mounting and feed assembly for loosening or corrosion, and realign if signal degradation is observed after severe weather.
