Telmor TT 5/8 Multiswitch, 5-input 8-output terminal unit
The Telmor TT 5/8 is a professional terminal multiswitch engineered for the efficient distribution of satellite and terrestrial television signals. Designed to serve as a central hub in antenna installations, this unit manages 5 inputs—typically four from a Quattro LNB and one from a terrestrial antenna—and routes them to 8 independent outputs. It provides a robust solution for residential buildings or commercial properties where multiple satellite receivers need to be connected to a single antenna system, ensuring consistent signal quality and reliable performance across all connected devices.
This multiswitch offers exceptional signal integrity by maintaining high isolation between ports, which minimizes interference and signal degradation. Its compact and durable design facilitates easy installation in tight spaces, such as distribution cabinets or attics. The device is optimized for modern digital television standards, supporting both DVB-S/S2 satellite signals and terrestrial DVB-T/T2 broadcasts. By utilizing high-quality electronic components, the Telmor TT 5/8 ensures long-term stability and minimal maintenance requirements for complex signal distribution networks.
This terminal multiswitch is not designed for cascading, meaning it cannot be used to expand the number of outputs by connecting additional multiswitches in a series. It is also unsuitable for installations requiring more than 8 independent receiver outputs.
To install the Telmor TT 5/8, connect the four cables from the Quattro LNB to the corresponding satellite inputs and the terrestrial antenna cable to the dedicated terrestrial input. Connect the coaxial cables leading to individual rooms or receivers to the 8 output ports. Ensure that all F-connectors are tightened securely to prevent signal loss. Once all connections are made, connect the power supply to the multiswitch and verify the signal reception on each connected receiver.
For optimal performance, always use high-quality, shielded coaxial cables and ensure all unused outputs are terminated with 75-ohm resistors to prevent signal reflections and interference.
