TERRAMASTER D1 SSD 1-Bay M.2 SSD Enclosure, USB 3.2 10Gbps, IP67 Rated

The TERRAMASTER D1 SSD is a robust 1-bay M.2 SSD enclosure engineered for professionals who require high-speed data transfer and reliable external storage. This device supports both M.2 NVMe and SATA drives, offering versatile compatibility for various storage needs. With its USB 3.2 interface, it delivers data transfer speeds of up to 10Gbps, ensuring efficient performance for demanding tasks. The enclosure is built with a rugged housing that carries an IP67 rating, providing significant protection against dust ingress and water immersion, which makes it a dependable choice for field work and travel.

Advantages

The primary advantage of the TERRAMASTER D1 SSD is its exceptional durability combined with high-performance connectivity. The IP67-rated chassis safeguards your sensitive data against environmental hazards, including dust and water, allowing for secure use in challenging outdoor conditions. Furthermore, the USB 3.2 10Gbps interface facilitates rapid file transfers, significantly reducing wait times when moving large media files or backups. Its compact design ensures portability without compromising on build quality or thermal management, as the enclosure is designed to dissipate heat effectively during intensive operations.

Suitable for

• Professional photographers and videographers working on location
• Users requiring a rugged backup solution for field data collection
• Individuals needing a portable high-speed external drive for M.2 NVMe or SATA SSDs
• Data storage in environments where dust or moisture exposure is a risk

When it may not be suitable

This enclosure is not suitable for users who require multi-drive RAID configurations, as it is a single-bay device designed for individual drives. Additionally, it may not be the most cost-effective solution for those who only need basic, non-ruggedized storage for indoor office environments.

Key specifications

• Interface: USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10Gbps)
• Drive Compatibility: M.2 NVMe and M.2 SATA SSDs
• Ingress Protection: IP67 rated (dust and water resistant)
• Bay Count: 1-bay
• Housing Material: Ruggedized protective casing

How to use

To use the TERRAMASTER D1 SSD, first open the enclosure according to the provided instructions to access the internal M.2 slot. Insert your compatible M.2 NVMe or SATA SSD into the slot and secure it firmly. Once the drive is installed, close the housing securely to ensure the IP67 seal is maintained. Connect the device to your computer using the included USB cable. The drive should be automatically recognized by your operating system, allowing you to format it if necessary and begin transferring files immediately.

What to consider before purchase

• Ensure your SSD is either M.2 NVMe or M.2 SATA format
• Verify that your computer has a USB 3.2 port to achieve maximum 10Gbps speeds
• Confirm if you require a single-drive enclosure or a multi-bay system

Usage recommendations: Always ensure the enclosure is fully sealed before exposing it to dusty or wet environments to maintain the integrity of the IP67 protection. Regularly back up your data to multiple locations to prevent loss in the event of hardware failure.
