TFA KIENZLE DCF Radio-Controlled Wall Clock Modern 24.8 cm white

The TFA KIENZLE DCF Radio-Controlled Wall Clock Modern 24.8 cm white is a precise, battery-powered wall clock that synchronises time automatically via DCF radio signal. The clock features a clean white dial and clear hands within a 24.8 cm diameter case, designed for straightforward time reading in homes, offices or public spaces. Its radio-controlled mechanism ensures the clock sets itself to the correct local time and adjusts for daylight saving where supported.

Advantages

This TFA KIENZLE clock provides accurate timekeeping through automatic DCF signal reception, reducing the need for manual adjustments. The modern white design and compact 24.8 cm diameter make it unobtrusive on walls while remaining easily readable from a distance. Battery operation simplifies installation since no mains connection is required, and the lightweight construction facilitates secure mounting.

Suitable for

• Home rooms such as living rooms, kitchens and bedrooms
• Office spaces, meeting rooms and reception areas
• Educational facilities, classrooms and study spaces
• Small commercial premises and waiting areas

When it may not be suitable

The clock relies on reception of the DCF radio time signal; in locations with poor signal coverage or heavy metal structures that block reception, automatic synchronisation may be unreliable. It may also be less suitable where very large or highly decorative clocks are required for stylistic reasons, or where integrated mains-powered illumination is needed at night.

Key specifications

• Diameter: 24.8 cm
• Colour: white dial and case
• Time synchronisation: DCF radio-controlled
• Power source: battery-operated (battery type not included)
• Display type: analogue with hour, minute and second hands
• Mounting: wall mount

How to use

Insert the appropriate battery into the compartment on the back of the clock and hang the clock on a suitably anchored wall hook or screw. Allow several minutes for the clock to receive the DCF radio signal and adjust to the local time automatically. If the clock does not synchronise immediately, place it closer to a window or away from large metal objects and wait for the next automatic reception cycle. Manual time setting is typically unnecessary unless signal reception is permanently unavailable.

What to consider before purchase

• Check DCF radio signal availability at the installation location
• Confirm required battery type and whether batteries are included
• Ensure the 24.8 cm diameter fits the intended wall space and viewing distance
• Assess whether analogue display and white finish suit the room’s decor

Usage recommendations

For reliable reception, mount the clock on an interior wall with a clear path to the nearest window; avoid positioning near large metal cabinets, microwaves or strong electrical equipment. Replace batteries annually or when the clock shows inconsistent movement to maintain accurate timekeeping.
