Weather station sensor TFA-Dostmann Meteo Sens Black LCD — indoor/outdoor thermometer & hygrometer, wireless 0.433 GHz, AA battery
The TFA‑Dostmann Meteo Sens Black LCD is a compact wireless weather sensor and indoor/outdoor thermo-hygrometer designed to show temperature, relative humidity and barometric trend at a glance. The main unit receives data from the included wireless transmitter and displays indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity values on a clear LCD. An integrated electronic barometer records air pressure and shows the course of the last 24 hours on a bar chart, while weather symbols together with trend arrows indicate likely short-term weather changes. The unit also receives a radio-controlled time and date signal (DCF77) and can be expanded with up to two additional wireless transmitters to monitor multiple locations. Dimensions: 157 × 43 × 117 mm. Powered by a single 1.5 V AA battery; wireless transmission frequency: 0.433 GHz.
The Meteo Sens provides simultaneous display of indoor and outdoor temperature and relative humidity, allowing easy comparison of conditions. The built-in barometer and 24-hour pressure trend chart support immediate interpretation of approaching weather changes without relying solely on external forecasts. A radio-controlled clock ensures accurate time and date display automatically, and the system can be extended to monitor up to three locations by adding additional transmitters. The compact housing and clear LCD make the device suitable for placement in living areas, hallways or home offices.
Insert a fresh 1.5 V AA battery into the transmitter and into the main unit, then place the transmitter outdoors in a sheltered location away from direct sunlight and heavy rainfall for representative readings. Position the main unit indoors within the range of the transmitter so it can receive the 0.433 GHz signal. The display will show indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity values, the barometric trend for the last 24 hours and a weather symbol with trend arrows. If required, follow the device instructions to synchronize the DCF77 radio time and to pair up to two additional transmitters for monitoring extra rooms.
For reliable outdoor readings, mount the transmitter in a shaded, ventilated spot protected from direct sun and precipitation. Replace batteries annually or when the display indicates low power, and avoid placing the main unit near strong heat sources or windows to prevent distorted indoor measurements. When adding extra transmitters, label them by location to keep readings clear and consistent.
