Weather station tfa dostmann 35.1170.01 — wireless forecast 6–12 h, up to 3 sensors
tfa dostmann 35.1170.01 is a compact digital weather station in a white housing that displays indoor and outdoor temperature values together with a simple weather forecast and trend arrow. The device shows time and date, includes an alarm with snooze function, and runs on 1.5 V AA/AAA batteries. A wireless outdoor temperature transmitter is included with a radio range of up to 100 metres in open field. The base unit is lightweight and designed for easy placement on a sideboard or bedside table, and the station can be expanded with up to two additional wireless transmitters.
The display prioritises essential information: large temperature readings for both indoor and outdoor measurements and a clear symbolic weather forecast with trend indicator. The integrated radio-controlled clock offers accurate time and date, and manual time zone setting provides flexibility. Battery operation makes the unit portable and simple to position without wiring, while compatibility with additional transmitters allows monitoring of multiple outdoor locations.
Place the base unit on a stable surface such as a bedside table or sideboard and insert the required 1.5 V batteries into the base unit and the included outdoor transmitter. Position the wireless transmitter outdoors within the stated range and allow a short time for the transmitter signal to synchronise with the base unit. Set the time automatically via the radio signal or use the manual time and time zone controls if required. Use the alarm and snooze functions through the front controls and read temperature values and trend indicators directly from the display.
For reliable outdoor readings, mount the wireless transmitter in a shaded, ventilated location protected from direct sunlight and heavy precipitation. Maintain line-of-sight where possible to improve signal quality; if walls or large obstacles reduce range, relocate the transmitter closer to the base unit or consider adding an additional transmitter to monitor multiple positions.
