Thermal paste thermal grizzly PT X10 10 g — high thermal conductivity thermal compound
Thermal Grizzly PT X10 is a high thermal conductivity thermal paste supplied in a 10 g tube, formulated to enhance heat transfer between processors, graphics chips and their cooling solutions. The compound fills microscopic gaps and surface irregularities on CPU and GPU heat spreaders and heatsinks to improve contact and reduce operating temperatures during sustained loads. The paste is suitable for desktop and laptop repairs, performance upgrades and custom cooling assemblies where efficient thermal coupling is required.
PT X10 offers a balance of thermal conductivity and ease of application for both professional technicians and hobbyists. The non-curing formula maintains stable thermal performance over time and resists pump-out under thermal cycling. Its viscosity enables precise application from a 10 g tube while ensuring reliable wetting of surfaces and effective elimination of air pockets that impair heat flow.
Clean both mating surfaces—CPU/GPU heat spreader and heatsink—using isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth to remove old compound and contaminants. Apply a small, pea-sized amount of PT X10 onto the center of the heat spreader, or use a thin, even layer depending on the contact surface and cooler type. Mount the heatsink and fasten according to the manufacturer’s instructions to spread the paste evenly and create reliable contact. If repasting an existing system, remove the old compound completely before application.
Store the tube sealed in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Avoid contact with electrical contacts; if accidental contamination occurs, clean the area thoroughly. For best results, allow a short stabilization period under normal operating conditions after installation and re-check temperatures under load to confirm improved thermal performance.
