Thermal Paste Thermal Grizzly TG Putty 40 g
Thermal Grizzly TG Putty is an electrically non-conductive, flexible gap filler designed for GPU modifications and for replacing thermal pads between the PCB and the cooler. It compensates for height differences and serves as an alternative to conventional thermal pads on graphics cards, available in variants with different thermal conductivities.
TG Putty is easy to apply with included spatulas or by hand (use gloves recommended), can be shaped to match small components, and fills gaps from 0.2 to 3.0 mm. It comes in three conductivity grades—Basic, Advance and Pro—so you can choose performance levels suited to different cooling needs. The putty is electrically non-conductive, reducing the risk of short circuits when used on PCB areas such as VRAM and VRM.
Clean and degrease the target surfaces before application (for example with isopropanol or dedicated cleaning wipes). Apply TG Putty using the provided spatulas for broad coverage or shape small pellets by hand to match the surface area of chips such as VRAM or SMD components; gloves are recommended when applying by hand. Press the putty gently into the gap to ensure contact between the PCB components and the cooler or backplate.
TG Putty must not be used on CPU IHS, directly on GPU dies, or other exposed silicon surfaces. For a single smaller graphics card without an active backplate (e.g., GeForce GTX 1060) one 30 g container is typically sufficient; larger cards (e.g., GeForce RTX 4090) generally require one 30 g container for the front-side components and may need two 30 g containers to fill a larger uniform gap on the backside.
