Thermal pad Thermal Grizzly PhaseSheet PTM 2 g Grey -75 to 150 °C
PhaseSheet PTM is a phase-change thermal pad designed to improve heat dissipation for processors, graphics chips and other electronic components. The material is solid at room temperature and liquefies during operation to fill microscopic gaps between heatspreaders and coolers, providing thermal-transfer performance similar to a paste. The pad is electrically non-conductive and intended for applications that require reliable thermal interface material with low long-term maintenance.
PhaseSheet PTM combines the ease of application of a pad with the thermal performance of a phase-change material. It liquefies above approximately 45 °C to create a thin, low-viscosity conductive layer and contracts again when solidifying, reducing pump-out. The product offers high thermal conductivity, consistent performance after thermal cycling, long service life compared with conventional pastes, broad applicability, and electrical non-conductivity.
Remove protective liners and place the PhaseSheet PTM on the heatspreaders or cooler base so it covers the contact area. Assemble the cooler and apply the required mounting pressure (optimal contact pressure is around 300–400 N) so the material liquefies and spreads to form a thin interface. The phase-change material begins to liquefy above ≈45 °C and reaches stable maximum thermal conductivity after several thermal cycles above 60 °C. If removed, replace with a new pad rather than attempting to reuse a deformed sheet.
For best results use on properly cleaned and flat contact surfaces and ensure adequate mounting pressure during assembly. PhaseSheet PTM provides long-lasting performance but will stabilize after about ten thermal cycles above 60 °C. Avoid reuse of the same pad after prolonged operation or visible deformation.
