The Thule UpRide Aluminium Black roof rack provides upright bike transport without contacting the bike frame, protecting frames including carbon models. Constructed from aluminium with a black finish, the carrier supports bikes up to 20 kg and fits most wheel sizes between 20 and 29 inches with tyres up to 3" wide. The rack measures 1630 mm in length and is lightweight at 7.7 kg, offering a secure, versatile solution for mounting bikes on roof bars.

Advantages

The design secures the bike by the front wheel, eliminating frame contact and reducing risk to delicate materials such as carbon. A ratcheting rear wheel strap holds the back wheel firmly to the tray while included locks secure both the bike to the carrier and the carrier to the roof bars. The carrier adapts to non-traditional frames, rear suspension and bottle cages and can be switched easily from one side of the vehicle to the other. An optional Thule UpRide Fatbike Adapter (sold separately) expands tyre compatibility up to 5".

How to use

Mount the carrier to your vehicle's roof bars according to the roof rack manufacturer's instructions. Lift the bike and place the front wheel into the UpRide hook so the hook grips the wheel rim; ensure the frame is not contacted. Secure the rear wheel to the tray with the ratcheting wheel strap and engage the provided locks to secure the bike and the carrier to the roof bars. If transporting a fatbike, install the Thule UpRide Fatbike Adapter (sold separately) before mounting the bike.

Usage recommendations

Regularly check that wheel straps and locks are tight before each trip, verify compatibility with your roof bars and observe the vehicle and roof rack load limits; do not exceed the 20 kg bike weight limit.
