Description

Transcend RDC3 is a compact USB Type-C card reader designed for modern computers and mobile devices with USB-C ports. It supports SD (UHS-I SDXC/SDHC) and microSD cards and uses the USB 3.2 Gen 1 interface to provide high transfer speeds. The reader is compatible with Android smartphones and tablets, recent laptops and MacBooks with Type-C ports, and iPad Pro models from 2018 onward. Use the complimentary Transcend Elite app on Android to manage, encrypt, back up, and share files; RecoveRx software is available for file recovery on computers.

Advantages

The reversible USB Type-C connector ensures easy plug-in orientation and broad compatibility with Type-C devices. Dual card slots allow convenient access to both SD and microSD media (note: the reader does not support using both cards simultaneously). USB 3.2 Gen 1 support delivers fast data transfer to take advantage of high-speed flash cards. Its pocket-sized design makes the RDC3 portable and convenient for travel. Additional software support includes the Transcend Elite app for Android file management and RecoveRx for recovering deleted files on computers.

How to use

Connect the RDC3 to a USB Type-C port on your device, insert either an SD or a microSD card into the corresponding slot, and access files through your device’s file manager or the Transcend Elite app on Android. For transfers to a computer, plug the reader into a Type-C port and copy files using the operating system’s file explorer. Do not insert both cards at the same time. To recover deleted files on a computer, install and run RecoveRx following the software instructions.
