Bungee Luggage Strap TREFL IWH 800 mm, rubber/PP, 8 mm cord diameter, red, 1 piece

TREFL IWH bungee luggage strap, 800 mm long, combines an elastic rubber cord with polypropylene fittings to secure luggage, bags and small cargo. The single-piece red strap features an 8 mm cord diameter that provides elastic tension and holds items together during travel, cycling or general transport. Its compact length and simple construction make it suitable for tying down backpacks, attaching extra items to suitcases or stabilising small loads on bike racks.

Advantages

The strap offers reliable elastic retention and quick fastening thanks to its rubber core and PP connectors, while the 8 mm cord diameter balances stretch and strength. The red colour improves visibility when strapped to luggage or outdoor gear. Being a single-piece design makes it simple to use and store, and the materials are chosen for flexibility and resistance to repeated tensioning.

Suitable for

• Securing backpacks, duffel bags and small suitcases
• Attaching extra items to luggage or bicycle racks
• Stabilising compact cargo on carts or in trunks
• Temporary fastening during packing and transport

When it may not be suitable

The TREFL IWH strap is intended for light to moderate retention tasks and is not designed for heavy industrial loads or critical safety applications such as securing vehicles or heavy machinery. It may not provide sufficient strength or non-elastic restraint where rigid fixation is required.

Key specifications

• Length: 800 mm
• Cord material: rubber (elastic core)
• Connector material: polypropylene (PP)
• Cord diameter: 8 mm
• Colour: red
• Quantity: 1 piece

How to use

Place the strap around the items to be secured so the cord runs evenly across the load. Attach or hook the polypropylene ends as designed to create tension; adjust the position until the items are held firmly without over-stretching the rubber. Ensure the strap is centered and not twisted for uniform tension. Check the fixation periodically during transport and reposition if necessary to maintain secure retention.

What to consider before purchase

• Required retention strength — suitable for light to moderate loads, not for heavy-duty restraint
• Length — 800 mm total strap length may limit use to compact items
• Elastic behaviour — rubber cord will stretch under load; consider non-elastic alternatives if rigid fixation is needed
• Visibility — red colour improves visibility but does not indicate load rating

Usage recommendations

Inspect the strap for signs of wear, cuts or loss of elasticity before each use and replace if damaged. Avoid prolonged exposure to strong sunlight or oils that can degrade rubber. Use within the strap's elastic capacity and combine multiple straps for larger or irregular loads to distribute tension evenly.
