The TRENDNET TC-KP48 48-Port Empty Keystone Rack Mount Patch Panel 2U Black is an unpopulated patch panel designed for efficient structured cabling management in server rooms and network closets. Engineered for standard 19-inch equipment racks, this 2U black patch panel accommodates up to 48 Keystone jacks, providing a flexible and organized solution for custom network cable termination and organization.

Advantages

This empty Keystone patch panel offers high modularity, allowing network administrators to mix and match different types of Keystone modules such as RJ45, HDMI, and fiber optics according to specific installation needs. Its standard 2U height and 19-inch rack compatibility ensure seamless integration into existing server racks and cabinets. The robust steel construction provides reliable durability for demanding networking environments, while the unpopulated design simplifies maintenance and future network expansions.

Suitable for

• Organizing and managing network cables in server rooms and data centers
• Structured cabling setups in enterprise network closets
• Custom telecommunication installations requiring mixed Keystone modules
• Professional IT infrastructure projects

When it may not be suitable

This patch panel is not suitable for pre-terminated cable installations that do not utilize Keystone jacks. It may also be unnecessary for small home networks or environments requiring fewer than 48 connection ports.

Key specifications

• 48 port capacity for Keystone jacks
• 2U rack height
• Designed for standard 19-inch racks
• Color: Black
• Unpopulated empty panel design

How to use

Mount the patch panel securely into a standard 19-inch equipment rack using appropriate rack screws taking up 2U of vertical space. Snap your chosen Keystone jacks with terminated network cables directly into the empty slots on the panel. Secure and manage the incoming cables neatly to the rack management bars to maintain proper strain relief and airflow.

What to consider before purchase

• Ensure your server rack or cabinet supports standard 19-inch equipment and has 2U of available vertical space
• Confirm that you have compatible Keystone jacks separately, as the panel is unpopulated
• Assess your current and future port density requirements to ensure 48 ports meet your networking needs

Usage recommendations: To ensure optimal cable organization and prevent signal interference, route and secure all cables properly using cable ties or management rings, avoiding sharp bends near the connection points.
