Dog and Cat Collar Trixie TX-19513 Grey Plastic S-M, 14 mm width
Dog and Cat Collar Trixie TX-19513 Grey Plastic S-M, 14 mm width
Trixie protective plastic collar in size S–M is a rigid veterinary recovery collar designed for small to medium pets. With a neck circumference range of 30–37 cm and a height of 14 cm, this collar prevents animals from licking, biting or scratching wounds and bandages after surgery or injury. The collar fastens with a hook-and-loop strap for quick application and secure hold, providing stable protection during the healing period.
The collar provides firm, stable support around the neck to limit access to the head and forequarters. Its smooth plastic surface is easy to clean and resists saliva and moisture. The hook-and-loop fastener allows adjustable tightening and quick removal without complicated hardware. The height and circumference are chosen to create the necessary barrier while keeping ventilation and visibility adequate for routine care.
Measure your pet's neck circumference at the base to confirm the 30–37 cm range and choose this S–M size if measurements fall within it. Place the collar around the neck so that the wider rim sits outward, allowing the pet to see and breathe comfortably. Fasten the hook-and-loop strap securely but not excessively tight: you should be able to fit two fingers between the collar and the neck. Check the fit regularly and remove the collar briefly under supervision if the animal needs to eat, drink or be groomed, unless veterinary advice indicates continuous use.
Use the collar as directed by a veterinarian. Inspect the collar and the skin under it daily for signs of irritation, chafing or discomfort. Clean the collar with mild soap and water and dry thoroughly before reapplying. If the pet shows persistent distress, difficulty breathing, or if wounds worsen, consult a veterinarian promptly.
