TUCAI flexible water connection hose HG-3/8-1/2-400 mm, reducing connector

Flexible TUCAI water connection hose HG-3/8-1/2-400 mm is a 400 mm metal-braided hose designed for connections where a reduction from 3/8" to 1/2" thread is required. The hose features a metal braid that protects the inner tube against mechanical damage and improves durability in domestic water supply installations. It is intended for use with sinks, faucets and other sanitary fixtures that require a reducing connector to match differing thread sizes.

Advantages

The metal-braided construction provides enhanced mechanical protection and resistance to abrasion while maintaining flexibility for easy routing in tight spaces. The reducing connector design allows direct joining of fittings with 3/8" and 1/2" threads without the need for additional adapters. A 400 mm length offers a balance between reach and compact installation, suitable for common household plumbing configurations.

Suitable for

• Connecting bathroom and kitchen faucets to supply lines with differing thread sizes
• Installing sinks, mixers and other sanitary fixtures where thread reduction is necessary
• Replacement of worn or damaged flexible hoses in domestic water systems

Key specifications

• Length: 400 mm
• Outer construction: metal braid for mechanical protection
• Connector types: reducing from 3/8" to 1/2" thread
• Application: cold and hot domestic water supply (household use)
• Flexibility: designed for routing in confined installation spaces

How to use

Before installation, shut off the water supply and relieve pressure by opening a downstream valve. Verify that the thread sizes on the fixtures correspond to 3/8" and 1/2" as required. Hand-start the connections to avoid cross-threading, then tighten with an appropriate wrench until secure; avoid excessive torque to prevent damage to fittings or the hose ends. After installation, restore water supply and check for leaks at both connections, re-tightening slightly if necessary.

Usage recommendations

Use the TUCAI reducing hose for indoor plumbing applications where a robust, flexible connection is needed. Inspect the hose periodically for signs of wear, corrosion of braid or leaks. Replace the hose if any damage or leakage is detected. Do not use the hose for high-pressure industrial systems beyond typical household water pressure limits.
