It can operate with or without Wi‑Fi; when offline, the local button can arm or disarm the sensor and trigger a local audible alarm. How to use

Clean the mounting surfaces, align the sensor and magnet so the gap does not exceed 7 mm, and fix both parts with the supplied 3M adhesive — sensor on the fixed frame and magnet on the moving door or window. Insert two AAA batteries into the detector, then pair the device with the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app via 2.4 GHz Wi‑Fi following the app instructions. Use the local button to arm/disarm or trigger the alarm when Wi‑Fi is not available. Monitor status and receive notifications through the app or set timers and sharing options as needed.

Usage recommendations

Install the sensor on a fixed surface such as a door jamb or window frame and place the magnet on the moving part; avoid exceeding the 7 mm gap.
