Joint Filler for Plasterboards Tytan 5 kg white

Tytan Joint Filler for Plasterboards 5 kg (white) is a ready-to-use gypsum-based compound formulated for filling seams, joints and small surface imperfections on plasterboard (drywall) before sanding and finishing. Supplied in a 5 kg package, the product is intended for interior use and provides workability suited to standard drywall installation and repair tasks.

Advantages

This ready-mixed joint filler offers consistent texture and smooth application without the need for on-site mixing. It provides good adhesion to gypsum-based boards and stays workable long enough to allow joint finishing and feathering. The white color helps with visual control of coverage and makes subsequent priming and painting straightforward. The product reduces preparation time for sanding and finishing when applied correctly.

Suitable for

• Filling seams and joints between plasterboard panels
• Repairing small dents, screw heads and surface defects on drywall
• Interior renovation and new drywall installations

When it may not be suitable

Not suitable for exterior use or for applications that require a load-bearing or structural joint material. It is not intended for filling deep voids or large holes without prior backing or staged application. For highly damp or wet areas, a moisture-resistant or cement-based filler should be used instead.

Key specifications

• Form: ready-to-use paste
• Colour: white
• Net weight: 5 kg
• Primary substrate: gypsum plasterboards (drywall)
• Application area: interior walls and ceilings
• Finish: sandable surface suitable for priming and painting

How to use

Ensure surfaces are clean, dry and free of dust, grease and loose particles. Apply the joint filler with a taping knife or spatula into seams, screw indentations and minor defects. For deep gaps or wide joints use backing tape or a supporting filler and apply in layers, allowing each layer to dry before the next application. After the filler has dried to a firm state, sand to the required smoothness, remove dust and proceed with priming and painting.

What to consider before purchase

• Intended use: interior drywall seams and small repairs
• Package size: 5 kg — suitable for small to medium projects or spot repairs
• Colour: white — check compatibility with primers and topcoats
• Not formulated for continuous exposure to moisture or exterior conditions

Usage recommendations

Store in a dry place at moderate temperatures and use within the shelf-life indicated on the packaging. For best results, apply at recommended room temperature and humidity, use appropriate joint tapes or corner reinforcements where needed, and sand with fine-grade abrasives before priming. Wear eye protection and a dust mask during sanding.
