Description

UGREEN M.2 USB-C enclosure converts a single M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD into a portable USB 3.1 (up to 10 Gbit/s) external drive. The compact aluminium housing (122 × 40 × 12 mm) supports M-Key and M+B Key NVMe SSDs in sizes 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 up to 2 TB. Tool-free installation, plug-and-play operation and no extra power or drivers required make it suitable for cloning, backups and reusing an internal M.2 drive as external storage.

Advantages

The enclosure supports USB 3.1 Gen 2 speeds with UASP, improving read and write performance compared with conventional USB connections. Aluminium construction enhances heat dissipation while built-in protections guard against short-circuit and over-current conditions. It supports S.M.A.R.T. and TRIM for better SSD health and performance and works with a USB Type-C host for wide compatibility.

How to use

Open the tool-free aluminium case, insert an M-Key or M+B Key NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD of compatible length, secure it according to the built-in standoff, then close the enclosure. Connect the enclosure to a computer using the supplied USB Type-C cable; the drive should be recognised automatically without driver installation. Use disk cloning, backup or file-transfer software as required by your task.

Usage recommendations

For best performance, connect to a UASP-capable USB 3.1 Gen 2 host port and enable TRIM support in your operating system when possible. Avoid using SATA-based M.2 (NGFF) or mSATA drives, as they are not supported by this NVMe-only enclosure.
