The UGREEN 50743 HDD enclosure converts a 2.5" SATA HDD or SSD into an external USB-C drive, offering a compact black housing and plug-and-play operation. How to use

Open the enclosure, insert a 2.5" SATA HDD or SSD into the SATA connector and secure it according to the manual (add the supplied EVA pad for 7 mm drives if needed). Close the enclosure, connect the included 50 cm USB-C to USB-A cable to a host computer and the enclosure, and the drive should appear as an external disk. For best results enable UASP on systems that support it and always use the operating system's safe-eject procedure before unplugging the device.

Usage recommendations

To maintain optimal performance, keep replacement cables under 3 ft (≈1 m) in length, ensure the host OS and controller support UASP for accelerated transfers, and safely remove the drive before disconnecting. Note that Windows XP 32-bit does not support drives above 2 TB.
