UNIPAK PTFE Teflon Tape 12 mm x 10 m, 0.075 mm thickness
UNIPAK PTFE Teflon tape is a professional-grade sealing solution engineered for threaded connections in plumbing, heating, and industrial piping systems. This high-quality tape provides a secure and leak-proof seal for both metal and plastic threads, ensuring reliable performance in demanding environments. With a width of 12 mm and a thickness of 0.075 mm, it is designed for precise application and long-term durability.
The primary benefit of this PTFE tape is its exceptional chemical resistance and ability to withstand significant temperature fluctuations, ranging from -200°C to 80°C. It creates a tight, reliable seal that prevents leaks in various threaded joints without the need for additional adhesives or pastes. The material is easy to handle, allowing for clean and efficient installation, and it remains stable over time, reducing the need for frequent maintenance in plumbing and heating installations.
This tape is not intended for use on high-pressure steam lines or in applications where the temperature exceeds the specified limit of 80°C. It is also not suitable for connections that require structural adhesive bonding, as the tape acts solely as a thread sealant.
To apply the tape, ensure the threaded surface is clean, dry, and free of debris. Begin at the end of the male thread and wrap the tape in the direction of the thread, ensuring each layer overlaps the previous one by about half its width. Apply sufficient tension to allow the tape to conform to the thread profile. Continue wrapping until the threaded area is fully covered, then tear the tape and press the end firmly against the joint before screwing the connection together.
For optimal sealing results, ensure the tape is wrapped tightly and consistently around the threads. Avoid over-wrapping, as excessive thickness can make it difficult to engage the threads properly.
